A second consecutive win for Piacenza, who beat Scanzorosciate 4-0 at the Garilli with a superb performance, thanks to a brace from Mustacchio and goals from Rrapaj and Raffini.
Franzini named the same eleven from the start who had beaten Real Calepina at the Garilli in the last league round. The red and whites started strongly; Colleoni saved from Capelli, while Mustacchio aimed too high from a good position, but it was the number 7 who broke the deadlock in the 13th minute. Shortly afterwards Colleoni was miraculous to deny Mazzantini.
At the start of the second half Rrapaj doubled the lead with a left-footed strike from distance. In the 70th minute Mustacchio made it three for Piacenza, making the most of an assist from Rrapaj. Five minutes later Raffini also had his moment of glory, turning a run down the right wing by Bassanini into a goal.
Piacenza will return to action on Wednesday at 3pm for the Coppa Italia away tie at Lentigione.
