The match between Pro Palazzolo and Piacenza ends 1-1, despite a great performance from the red-and-whites, who were reduced to 10 men for the whole of the second half.
Lussardi, on the bench in place of the suspended Franzini, picks the same side for 10 out of 11 places that beat Caldiero Terme last Sunday. The only change is the presence of Capelli in the centre of the attack in place of Raffini. The visitors start well and first come close to scoring with Mustacchio, then would have taken the lead with a header from Bakayoko from a Poledri corner on the right, but the referee disallows it for a previous foul. Before the interval, Ilic is alert to deal with Putzolu's right-footed shot, then Bakayoko is sent off for a foul as last man.
At 57' everything happens: from a set-piece routine Ilic blocks Capelli, then Vallisa clears off the goal line on the left from a certain-looking shot by Milani, and finally Ilic again intervenes on Mustacchio's header. At 60', against the run of play, the Brescia side take the lead through Persano, ice-cool one-on-one with Bruno. At 72' Ilic performs a miracle to stop a thunderous left-footed strike from distance by Rrapaj. At 75' Pro Palazzolo's number 12 repeats the feat, with his feet, from Milani's header. At 94' the thoroughly deserved equaliser for the visitors arrives with a left-footed strike from Mustacchio.
Piacenza will be back in action on Wednesday at 2.30pm at the Garilli for the match against Sasso Marconi, in the round of 32 of the Coppa Italia Serie D.
